Tell me about yourself!

I am a photographer, influencer & blogger, married for 13 years with two daughters, Wisdom & Courage.   My platform exists to inspire the beginning entrepreneur, the working or stay-at-home mom and every woman in between.   I encourage and motivate women through beautiful imagery & storytelling to go after the life they want while living full of wisdom & courage.

What do you love about this recipe, and how has it helped you with feeding your toddler?

This particular recipe is perfect for breakfast, snack or dessert because it contains dairy and fruit.   I love this meal because its full of the "good stuff" and can be made with whatever that means for you: yogurt, puree, smoothie mix, fruit.   You can serve it as a side along other food groups, as a yummy snack on a warm day, or as a dessert or treat after dinner.   This is one of my favorite quick and easy meal ideas because it quick and easy to make, it can be made from whatever is leftover in your fridge (fruits, yogurts, purees) and its ready pretty quickly, just a few hours in the freezer.   My toddler loves it because she can feed herself, its nice and cold, which helps with teething and you can always switch up the recipe and make each time unique.  You can even use those apple sauce packages!

What is your biggest tip when it comes to feeding a toddler?

My biggest tip in feeding a toddler is allowing choices and the ability for the toddler to get involved with being self -sufficient in feeding themselves.  I love to create meals for my toddler where she can explore different foods and practice making decisions about what she wants to eat and when, how much she wants to eat and how she wants to eat it.  It teaches her decision making and helps to improve her motor skills and I find that when she is self feeding, she eats way more than if I am feeding her myself.   It's really fun to watch her explore with her food and discover what she likes.
